Telangana Kalyanamasthu Scheme for the poor is into action as CM Revanth Reddy asked officials to provide detailed estimation of funds, required to fulfill benefits of Kalyanamasthu scheme which will help the government to finalize the budget requirements for the scheme.
Since the scheme is for Minority people such as SC, ST, and BC. In order to identify the number of possible beneficiaries for the guaranteed schemes as promised by government of Telangana, Revanth Reddy instructed officials to begin the Caste Census and prepare the estimation of funds required to fulfill the welfare schemes.
Government will then finalize the budget keeping this in mind which will be published on green channel.

Benefits of Telangana Kalyanamasthu Scheme
Under Telangana Kalyanamasthu Scheme, Financial assistance of 1 Lakh and one Tola gold will be provided for the girl from BPL family, at the time of marriage.
This initiative reduces the financial burden on girl families during marriage ceremonies, particularly benefitting those belonging to minority communities such as SC, ST, and BC.
Eligibility Criteria for Telangana Kalyanamasthu Scheme
The Telangana Kalyanamasthu Scheme is designed for minority categories, including SC, ST, and BC. The following eligibility criteria are expected for the scheme:
- The applicant should belong to a minority category.
- Only first marriages are considered for the scheme.
- Both the applicant and the groom must meet the government’s specified marriage age.
- The family’s income should not exceed approximately 1.5 lakh, and they should not receive any government pensions.
- The applicant’s family must not be taxpayers.
- Land holdings of the applicant’s family should not exceed 10 acres for dry land and 3 acres for wetland.
Documents required for Telangana Kalyanamasthu Scheme
To avail the benefits of the Telangana Kalyanamasthu Scheme, applicants will need to provide the following documents:
- Aadhaar card of the applicant and family members.
- Ration card.
- Bank details of the applicant and family members.
- Mobile number and passport-size photos.
- Income certificate.
- Caste certificate.
- Groom details.
- Marriage venue details.
